What B2 includes
The level requires comprehension of complex text and the ability to develop an argument clearly. Comfortable conversation in everyday settings does not establish the written B2 component.
Accepted evidence
Service-Public lists accepted French diplomas and certificates, together with TCF or TEF results issued less than two years earlier. Special rules apply in certain medical circumstances and for some older refugees.
When to begin
Where work and daily life remain in English, French will not necessarily develop to B2 without a plan. We recommend checking the actual level early and keeping the language-learning timetable separate from the residence-renewal calendar.
